Marion Schantz (Marny) and her husband, Joel, own and manage Prudential Taos Real Estate. Marny grew up in the Philadelphia area, holds a BS degree in Sociology from Juniata College and worked in New York City for Mercantile Stores, Inc. as a buyer. She gave up a career to pursue the adventure Taos had to offer.

She and Joel have built their own adobe home and have two wonderful daughters and a son-in-law. Marty is in the Physician’s Assistant program at Pacific University, and Gretchen is a tennis pro in Tucson. Kei is a Lieutenant Colonel in the Marine Corps.

The real estate business has served the family well for over 20 years and has taken many thousands of our hours.

Currently, Marny serves as Vice President on the Board of the Girl Scouts Sangre de Cristo Council, where her vision is to rejuvenate Camp Elliott Barker. She also is a past member of the Taos Chamber of Commerce. Away from work, you can find Marny skiing the ridge or enjoying tennis. Taos has been home for a long time.
